The Job's Mission 

 

Reporting to the Head of Content, the Social Media Lead is responsible for the overall IMD social media strategy, its implementation, the stakeholder engagement and the growth of our audience across all channels.
She/he is responsible for creating original text and visual assets, managing posts and responding to followers. She/he manages our company image in a cohesive way across our social media channels to achieve our IMD’s strategy goals in growing awareness and supporting the generation of business opportunities 

 


Key Activities & Accountabilities 

 

•    Responsible for the overall IMD social media strategy in line with IMD’s strategic goals.
•    Continue to grow IMD’s and its faculty’s social media presence across various channels and platforms including localization of content
•    Perform research and data analytics on current benchmark trends and audience preferences incl. SEO and traffic monitoring
•    Collaborate with other teams, faculty, marketing, multimedia, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency
•    Creation of still and moving social media assets
•    Suggest and implement new innovative features to develop brand awareness and boost faculty & institutional profiles
•    Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
•    Run masterclasses on social media for faculty and key stakeholders
•    Provide training and support where necessary
•    Managing a small team of social media contributors

 

 

Formula to Success


Education  
•    Master’s degree in journalism, Communications, Media/Public Relations, Digital Marketing 

 

Experience 
•    Minimum 8-10 years’ work experience in managing social media in a global organisation or agency
•    Proven work experience developing and implementing social media strategies and multi-channel campaigns 
•    Very good understanding of data analytics 
•    English as mother tongue. Working knowledge of French or another language would be an asset.
•    Hands-on experience in content management 
•    Proficiency in graphics editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
•    Experience in managing a small team

 

Competencies 
•    Knowledge of and strong interest in digital communications, social media, especially LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and podcasts 
•    Thorough understanding of how to engage stakeholders and targeted audiences across digital channels
•    Proven experience in social media campaigns 
•    Excellent writing skills and editorial decision-making 
•    Experience in working with senior executives 
•    Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video) 
•    Familiarity with web design, SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
•    Business acumen; service- and customer-oriented
•    Ability to multi-task several different projects and meet deadlines; self-starter, work independently and effectively with others; excellent team spirit 
•    Strategic, creative and innovative thinker with the ability to find the right opportunities in order to spread our brand and value propositions to key stakeholders 
•    Develop fresh concepts based on company goals and current social media trends
•    Understand design principals, compositions and layouts in digital
•    A keen eye for aesthetics and details
•    Strong interpersonal skills
