Project Manager - Global Board Center

 

The Job's Mission 

The mission of the IMD Global Board Center is to help boards be their best, and deliver value to the organization. The Project Manager plays a central role in fulfilling this mission by ensuring the successful design and delivery of programs, the organization of board community events, and the effective management of day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise, organizational excellence, and the ability to engage credibly with senior executives and faculty in a fast-paced, international environment.

 

Key Activities & Accountabilities

We are seeking a Project Manager to support high-quality delivery of learning journeys for open and custom board programs in close collaboration with IMD faculty and Associate Directors, as well as program partners.  The ideal candidate will embed innovative learning methodologies such as simulations, case-based learning, and scenario-based exercises, into programs and the diploma journeys. The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise, organizational excellence, and the ability to engage credibly with board members and senior executives and faculty in a fast-paced, international environment.

 

Responsibilities:

Program Delivery

•    Support the design and delivery of public and custom board education programs in collaboration with faculty and associate directors. 
•    Interface with a broad range of stakeholders to manage the full program cycle, including scheduling, logistics, and participant communications, ensuring a high-quality participant experience.
•    Coordinate with internal teams (program operations, marketing, communications) and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.

 

Community Engagement

•    Organize and deliver board community events such as masterclasses, roundtables, and networking forums.
•    Support the development and dissemination of research outputs and thought leadership initiatives.

 

Operations & Project Management

•    Oversee project timelines, budgets, and reporting for all Center activities.
•    Anticipate and resolve issues to keep projects on track and within scope.
•    Support operational needs of the Center, including resource coordination and process improvements.

 


Education 

•    Master’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field.

 

Experience 

•    Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project or program management, ideally in executive education, consulting, or governance.
•    Proven track record in event management and stakeholder engagement.
•    Experience working with senior executive audiences and multicultural teams.

•    Flexibility, resourcefulness, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
•    Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
•    Strong organizational and multitasking skills; able to manage complex projects with precision.
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; French is an asset.
