Communications Intern (100%) / August 1, 2024 – January 31, 2025

 

The Job's Mission
 
Our ambitious Communications team is seeking a Communications Intern to coordinate day- to-day publishing and operations. You will be joining a talented, dynamic, multicultural team which is setting the pace for the dissemination of faculty authored thought leadership and engagement with the IMD community. You will help publish and promote articles, videos and podcasts on our magazine and content ecosystem, I by IMD, and will work with social media, visual and multimedia and content specialists to get our message to a wide and diverse audience.
The role of Communications Intern is at the core of the Communications Team. She/he ensures that the logistical and administrative support is seamless in order to enable the other team members to focus on their tasks.


Key activities & accountabilities

  • Support the cross functional areas of the communications team with logistical and administrative tasks
  • Provide support in updating team editorial calendar
  • Provide support in publishing activities and creating event pages
  • Contribute to the publication of the IMD newsletters
  • Manage scheduling of online webinars – acting as a liaison between various IMD community members
  • Agile in learning in program tools such as Adobe Rush, Pardot, Salesforce, WordPress, Mailchimp
  • Assist at on campus events


Formula for success

 

Education

  • Currently enrolled in studies (BA in progress, in Hospitality management, Communication, Tourism or Marketing)

 
Competencies and skills

  • Experience of working in an international environment is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in an independent and proactive manner
  • Customer-oriented
  • Curiosity to learn
  • Diplomatic and discreet
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Very strong team spirit is a must, as you will work closely with other Communications teams and faculty
  • English fluent; good command of French or other languages an advantage
  • Good written communication skills
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • A good attention to detail
