Alumni Community Coordinator (100%)
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced community coordinator with strong communications and social media skills. Our new colleague will help showcase and share our global activities organized by volunteers from our international alumni team. The ideal candidate will enable us to measure our activities and engagement by providing data and insights from our platforms, events, and activities.
Main Responsibilities:
Coordinate alumni community activities:
• Develop and execute strategies and best practice for community leadership. Plan community activities that align with the alumni team priorities and IMD’s goals and objective
• Manage the annual events calendar for communities’ activities in collaboration with community leadership. Plan event logistics and follow-up.
Showcase and share all our activities:
• Drive the digital footprint and maintain social media presence for the alumni team
• Develop and implement a communications plan specifically for alumni related activities online. Schedule communications, ensuring messages are timely, appropriate, and effective.
• Develop and post original content on relevant platforms.
• Suggest creative ways to encourage and drive alumni engagement and promote alumni related activities and offering.
Measure and report our activities:
• Work in collaboration with the alumni team on key metrics and KPIs to track alumni engagement across activities organized by alumni team, clubs and communities.
• Analyse social media and event data to make informed decisions and adjust plans and strategies accordingly.
• Develop regular feedback loops to share insights with the Alumni team. Compile monthly reports.
Formula to Success:
Education
• Bachelor degree in Communication, Marketing, Business Management or assimilated
Experience
• 3-5 years experience working in an international environment
• At least one year experience managing communities
• Experience with community building and community management ideally from entrepreneurial ecosystems/communities.
Competencies and skills
• Excellent English writing skills –able to write clearly and concisely.
• Knowledge of digital communications platforms, social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube)
• Analytical mindset, familiarity with SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
• Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
• Creativity skills – able to see issues and problems from different angles.
• Able to take initiative – good at coming up with ideas and taking responsibility for your work.
• Outstanding organisation skills and time management.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in an independent manner
• Open-minded and with a strong team spirit
• Computer literate (MS Office necessary, CRM and Event platforms are a plus)
• Fluent in English – other language an asset
