Accounting Officer (100%) – Temporary role (1 year contract)
The Job's Mission
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile accounting officer to join our finance team. In this role, the accountant will be contributing to various tasks across multiple fields within the department.
In this role the accountant will be responsible for matching daily cash entries that flow through different payment terminals and bank accounts in an accurate and timely manner. He/she will support the accounts payable and GL team in their daily tasks and will be assisting the finance team on continuous improvement initiatives, for instance facilitating the successful integration of robotic process automation solutions into our workflows.
Main Responsibilities
• Cash allocation
- Perform daily cash matching for all cash transactions
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve unidentified items
- Prepare weekly payment and collection reporting
• Accountant role
- Recording supplier invoices in ERP database
- Maintenance of supplier database
- Follow up the ageing of open purchase orders, discuss with buyers
- Provide support for external annual audits
• Internal control and documentation enhancement
- Participate in the publication on the intranet of communications related to the finance department
- Coordinate with internal auditors
- Assist in the testing and validation of RPA solutions and maintain comprehensive documentation of RPA implementations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Education & Experience
• CFC commerce or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree with accounting courses or equivalent
• Fluent in English and French
• Accounting experience will be highly appreciated
